Before pursuing her comedy career, 903 Radio DJ Ah Jeng (Wong Ching-yi) was a barista, and coffee still flows in her veins: after running an online boutique coffee shop for three years, she opened a bricks-and-mortar café in laid-back Sai Ying Pun. Bursting with visual zest, the bright orange-themed space is the work of local design studio Hintegro (whose shop, HINT., is next door) and features a wall adorned with caricatures by local illustrator Curly Sai. The house blend uses sun-dried and washed Ethiopian and Honduran coffee beans, providing a citrus-like acidity and white flower notes. Signature drink The Salty and Wet (a blend of salted kumquat and iced coffee) and home-baked desserts, such as Japanese cream rolls and scones, are also must-tries.
