The screening, organised by HKFFF and Eaton in the frame of the In the City program of the Hong Kong BoDW will be followed by a Q&A with Olivia Putman, daughter of Andrée and Director of Studio Putman.
French product designer and interior decorator Andrée Putman made a significant mark on the 20th and 21st centuries. As a pioneer of sober and minimalist style, she defied contemporary tastes. Atypical and unbound by convention, Putman consistently envisioned connections and intersections between art, fashion, and design throughout her career.
Founded in 1953, the Alliance Française de Hong Kong (AFHK), as one of the members of Fondation des Alliances Françaises in the world, is a Hong Kong not-for-profit association dedicated to the promotion of the French language and culture.
