About the Founder
Lauded international design talent Laura Cheung Wolf curates theatrical artistry through her atelier, LALA CURIO. Born in Sydney and raised between Hong Kong and England, she studied Interior Design at Parsons School of Design in New York — where she received the Interior Design Award — before earning a Master’s in Fine and Decorative Arts at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London.
Rooted in three generations of artisanship, Laura founded LALA CURIO to continue this living legacy — transforming traditional techniques into expressive, collectible surfaces and objects. Her work is distinguished by couture precision, poetic whimsy, and cultural reverence, where hand-painted, hand-embroidered, and cloisonné-crafted surfaces offer depth and texture, unveiling layers of wonder.
Her creations can be found in private residences, members’ clubs, and luxury hotels worldwide — including Capella, Rosewood Doha, and the Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como — and have been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue, Tatler, and the Financial Times.
