BODW Satellite Events x deTour

Introduction

To ensure the spirit of creativity is felt citywide and to celebrate good designs and innovations that shape a better society, the annual Business of Design Week (BODW) further expands the creative horizons to the general public through a series of events in collaboration with different brands, businesses and local design institutions, taking place throughout Hong Kong under the banner of BODW Satellite Events x deTour.

Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), BODW is an Asia’s leading annual event on design, innovation and brands since 2002. It aims at enlightening all to the power of design and encouraging businesses to strategically deploy design for betterment of our cities, economy, culture and living. The week-long BODW, BODW Summit, Brand Asia Forum, Business of IP Asia Forum, “DesignInspire” innovative design exhibition, Leadership Forum on Design Education, DFA Awards Presentation, FASHION ASIA HONG KONG Forum, Global Design Network Events and deTour community programmes typically attracts 140,000+ participants and major media interest.

Each year, one country/ city is chosen as partner and invited to bring their brightest creative minds to share design expertise with the rest of the world. This year we are working with Italy as partner country under the tag-line of “Italy Makes A Difference”.
